ABOUT WEST SIDE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY
The Vision
From 1964-2011 Millard (Preach) McGuire was Pastor of West Side Free Will Baptist Church. During the time of his leadership the church grew to a point that a new and bigger facility was needed. In 2005, the Lord shared a vision with Preach of the facility that our church has today. The vision also included a school where children could feel free to worship the Lord, read their Bible, memorize God's word, and attain a high quality education.
In 2016, with the wisdom and guidance of Pastor Len Blanchard, our congregation voted to open West Side Christian Academy for Kindergarten through 12th Grade. At West Side, we seek to fulfill the Lord's direction in his word to "train up a child in the way they shall go and when they are old, they will not depart from it." We look forward to training and teaching the coming generations about Christ and equipping them for a successful academic future and a well rounded education.
Statement of Faith
-
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
-
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
-
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
-
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. We are saved by God’s grace through faith, not by our works of righteousness.
-
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
-
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
-
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
-
We believe that Marriage is between one Man (male gender at birth) and one Woman (female gender at birth).

Vision Statement
We want to DISCOVER the potential spiritual ability in every student and DEVELOP that spiritual ability to honor God in all things. It will be our plan to make DISCIPLES of our students as followers of Jesus Christ. We want to see DEVOTION to our Lord who saved them giving them the desire to DISCIPLE others to continue the process. We want them to attain excellence in academics and to “grow in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men” (Luke 2:52) to become role models in their school, homes, and community.
